We unconditionally guarantee each item to be as described and absolutely authentic and original.
We offer a full refund of purchase price if not completely satisfied. Posters must be returned undamaged within 7 days (customer pays for shipping expenses)

What are the shipping and handling conditions?

Each poster is shipped in a reinforced tube using the mail or UPS (Fedex is available upon request). A flat rate of $ 35 USD for shipping handling and insurance is applied to all orders within North America (overseas orders shipped at cost). For any order over $1000, shipping expenses are free. The average delivery time is approximately 2 weeks and if we anticipate a delay in the delivery, we will notify you.
Furthermore, you will usually be provided with the tube's tracking number.

How is poster's condition established?

Posters for the most part were printed in large format with an expected life of 2 or 3 month on billboards. They were ephemeral by definition.
Therefore, in grading a poster we use a rating system which has been accepted by most poster dealers and associations. The following ratings are used, with an appropriate + or – to indicate slightly better or worse condition:

A : The poster is in excellent condition.
Colors are fresh and defects are minor. They may include slight creases, blemishes, nicks or folds, but nothing significant.

B : The poster is in good condition. There may be some tears and paper loss along folds and edges. When a poster has been linen backed these may have been restored or repaired. Sometimes, there are some fadings.

C : The poster is in fair condition.
There may be tears and losses in the image or heavy restoration. Colors may be faded or washed out.

What payment methods do you accept?

Payments can be made by Visa or Mastercard using our Secure Online Server. We also accept paypal and google checkout payments, personal checks (we send the poster once the check has cleared) and money orders. Illinois residents must add 9.25% tax to their orders.

What is linen backing? How much would it cost?

Linen Backing makes the poster more durable. It is used by professional restorers to repair and preserve their original condition. You can see in the description page of the poster you are buying if it is sold linen-backed or not.
If the poster you are interested in is not linen backed, we will be please to have it done for you. Generally, it adds 2 weeks to the shipping process and charges are determined by the size and condition of the poster.
Linen backing will strongly contribute to preserve the value of your poster.

What are the differences between Offset and Lithography printing?

Lithography was the first fundamentally new printing technology since the invention of relief printing in the fifteenth century. Lithography is based on the chemical repellence of oil and water. Designs are usually drawn with crayons on specially prepared limestone. The stone is moistened with water, which the stone accepts in areas not covered by the crayon. An oily ink, applied with a roller, adheres only to the drawing and is repelled by the wet parts of the stone. The print is then made by pressing paper against the inked drawing. The brightness of colors in lithograhy contributes to the uniqueness of most original vintage posters. Offset printing is more recent printing technique where the inked image is transferred (or "offset") from a plate to a rubber blanket, then to the printing surface. This method is consistent with high image quality, producing sharp and clean images.
